Old will meet new when Spokane's oldest standing hotel, the 101-year-old Montvale Hotel, soon starts taking reservations over the Web. But first developer Rob Brewster of ConoverBond LLC has to redevelop the 36-room property.
Brewster said work is about to begin, including installing Internet capabilities. The grand opening is planned for this fall.
The hotel will have two new restaurants, an underground bar, the Blue Door Theater, a flower shop and a billiards parlor.
